Everyone should be able to read this.

Appalachian Host Standard aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA — here is where we stand and how to reach us.

Everyone should be able to use Appalachian Host Standard — keyboard, screen reader, high zoom or reduced motion. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and fix shortfalls as we find them.

The basics we hold

  • Readable contrast. Colour contrast is checked on every page for normal and large text.
  • Clean structure. Semantic headings, landmarks and alt text so assistive tech can follow along.
  • Scales cleanly. Text and layout hold up when you zoom in or enlarge the system font.
  • Calm motion. Nothing moves that you cannot stop; we respect reduced-motion settings.
